ZIMBABWEANS HAVE FINALLY FOUND THEIR VOICE

It has taken time but Zimbabweans have rediscovered their voice. The spirit that drove them to fight the war for independence is back. The ZANUPF leadership will regret abusing its position of power and responsibility. They have lost respect for the people and adopted a default arrogant and intimidating stance. The people have had enough of this due to their visible poverty whilst the black proletariat publicly feast and flaunt their wealth.

What makes this struggle real is the amalgamation of different groups of resistance from students, to mothers, to war veterans. They can no longer continue to wait on false promises. They have found safety in numbers and are ready to fight against injustice from ZANUPF. Robert Mugabe and his inner circle have lost the currency of trust from all sectors of society. Graduates with no jobs and visibility poor war veterans are standing side by side to isolate the insensitive regime anaesthetised by ridiculous wealth. The public is riled by the fact that too government officials are shunning local education and health facilities in favour of European and Asian facilities whilst the rest of us have to put up with a collapsed public goods and services infrastructure and delivery.

The public are no longer buying the propaganda peddled by state media. They have reached consensus that enough is enough and are echoing the sentiments that the MDCT and other opposition parties have been making since its formation in 1999. The opposition has been vindicated for its stance. What is significant is that individual Zimbabweans have found their voice and have started to speak and record videos to express their unhappiness at the way the country has been run for 36 years and to tell the government to perform or to ship out! Change is imminent.
